Curriculum vitae of Jörg Kotilge!

I was born on 11th May 1955 in Schwelm, Germany/NRW/EN. Father: Bernhard Kotilge (master moulder), mother: Eugenie Kotilge, née Ricker (housewife).
In 1958 we moved to Witten-Annen, because my father found a new job in that city.
On 5th February 1959, my sister Heike was born.
In spring 1961, I started grammar school.
In June 1974 I successfully finished college. Then.....

.... in October 1974 I was drafted in to the Germany Navy. (first education in the 4th navy-telecommunication-school in Eckernförde, after that, as signalgast on the destroyer 5, in Kiel).

Even thought I started my studies 3 month late because I was not released from the navy in time, I graduated from the School of Engineers in Dortmund as “Engineer of Material Techniques” in July 1978, after the minimum time.


In October 1978 I started at Heliotronic, a research and development factory for terrestical photovoltaic solar cells (a sister company of Siltronic, at that time called Chemitronic). Heliotronic was sponsored by the German Ministry of Reserch.
Heliotronic is located in Bavaria where I moved at that time and still live today.

On April 6, 1979 I married.
- my daughter Stephanie was born on December 23, 1982.
- Around that time, I started to experience strong symptoms, which were diagnosed as Multiple Sclerosis.
- I was divorced in October 1985.
- I sit in a wheelchair since 1987 and I retired on disability at the end of December 1992.
